Suffix Letter Designations

The table below outlines the properties being tested when a particular suffix letter is called-out in an ASTM D2000 specification. This suffix letter is usually followed by two additional suffix numbers. The first of which corresponds to the test method, the second of which indicates the temperature of the test. All ASTM tests are conducted on Slabs and Hardness Buttons (NOT on Orings).
